By kelda,on January 16th,2012% We,Kelda and Carla, announce the closing of the Home School Cottage Broussard. It has been our honor and privilege to serve our homeschool community these past five years. What started as a labor of love has fed our passion and grown our homeschooling community and relationships with new-found friends and those of whom we’ve grown to love as family. Although we have never profited financially from this business,The Cottage has been able to cover all of its expenses. Due to circumstances beyond our control, our sales have been steadily decreasing for the past six months. With the increased numbers of families choosing online, cooperative schooling and the opening of Mardel’s,we are unable to compete in the current market. Amid the time challenges of parenting and schooling our children,we have appreciated everyone’s support and encouragement. During Carla’s cancer diagnosis and chemo and radiation,we personally received the strength and love from this community. We will maintain the website and post updates for the community and links to groups and activity information. Kelda will continue to host classes and workshops, standardized testing, curriculum counseling, consultations, and tutoring will also continue to be available. They will have an action packed week at the State Capital and form new friendships with other homeschoolers from around the state. There is also a one day class that is available for ages 8 –12. This is really entertaining for the younger ones and my 9 year old son is looking forward to attending again, this year. Please check out the website, www.teenpact.com,under “State Class”,pray about it,and make plans to attend! Hope to see you there. Dona Duhon FAITH Fellowship 337-839-8330 |
