Consignment Terms
1. Items given to the Home School Cottage Broussard to sell must be left a minimum of ONE YEAR from the original contract,as book sales are seasonal.
2. If you choose to remove any books BEFORE the ONE YEAR contract is up,the book or books must be PURCHASED at WHATEVER PRICE IS ON THE BOOK.
3. Any items held on consignment that are not sold within one year will be returned to the consignee upon request. You must contact us no later than 7 days after the year date.
4. Consignments are divided 50/50 with HSCB.
5. Sales are totaled at the end of each month and are available as store credit until checks are written quarterly. Store credit may be used at any time.
6. If you live one hour or more away,we will mail your check. Other checks are available upon request when the amount is equal to at least $50. Amounts less than $50 will be rolled over to the next quarter.
7. We accept any portion of current edition curriculum/texts. We accept complete sets of older editions (teacher manual,student text,workbooks,practice sheets,etc.) if we deem them sellable.
8. Besides curriculum and materials,we accept books written for home school families and their specific needs:curriculum choices,how-to’s,organization,budgeting and household management. We DO NOT accept self-help books,adult novels,daily devotionals,copied materials,mom’s minutes,dvd manuals,or anything that does NOT pertain to home schooling and parenting directly.
9. We are not responsible for loss due to theft,fire,or flood.
10. We are here to serve the home school community. One way we serve is by providing you a way to sell your used curriculum and purchase other curriculum at a reduced price. If you have questions or concerns about anything,please let us know immediately so we may address it promptly. We want to work together with you to help each other and to serve others. 11. Unsellable items:written-in materials,older editions,old library books,partial public school materials,and items in poor condition will be placed in our Free Bins or thrown away.
